All Things Sinting is a series of events designed to bring the community together and to attract traffic back to the Eglinton Avenue West area. After many years of construction with the creation of the LRT, the bulk of the work is wrapping up and the BBPA in collaboration with our partners, are working to bring the community together to celebrate, promote economic development, and encourage folks to come down and spend their coin in Little Jamaica.

The Little Jamaica neighbourhood was designated as a heritage area in 2021 by the City of Toronto. Our goal is to work together to improve the continued development of this area. On May 23, 2022 the first ever Clean Up Sinting was a resounding success, where we partnered with the York Business Improvement Area to beautify the avenue in time for the
Summer.

Summer programing

We have Summer Sintings programming starting June 9th and lined up for all of June and July. On the long list of Sintings, Heritage Toronto will work with the BBPA to provide a Black History tour of Little Jamaica. We will work with a young Emerging Historian to update their existing tour to include some contemporary facets of the area. There will also be events including local businesses like Welcome to (Little) Jamrock at Trea-Jah Isle or Voices of The Shop with Barbers of Eglinton.

The goal of the Summer Sintings is to bring people down to the Avenue during the week for them to experience the Eglinton West Avenue in another way. We want folks to visit the shops and restaurants, we want them to stay a little and learn a little, not just come and go.
